Allan Coyle is originally from Glasgow Scotland.  He studied art at the famed Glasgow Schools of Art.  Allan established Celtic Landscapes in Pastel in the United States in 2004, after years of exhibiting in Scotland.  He paints Ireland and Scotland's beautiful and rich countryside, golf courses, and coastal terrain.  Working in pastel he expresses the constant light and weather changes prevalent in his native land.

Working in dry pastels he is influenced by the Scottish Colorist movement of the early 20th century.  His bold colors and  passion for his homeland is often noted in his unique style, elegance, and technique. Allan has developed an innovative style that blends precise realism with expressionism.
